A day with FULL Home Automation
You awake to a home at your optimal temperature, as the heating/air conditioning comes on at your preset time, walk to the bathroom, which senses your presence, and as it is early in the morning, sets the light to ramp up slowly. After a shower, you head for the robe where the lighting comes on automatically as you enter. If you've forgotten to turn off the bathroom fan and heat lamps, the automation will turn them off for you, once the humidity reaches the right level.
Brushing a touchscreen on the way to the kitchen launches your morning scene that brings on the lighting and pipes music through to the kitchen speakers. In the kitchen, you can select your music from the keypad or touch screen on the wall.
When you leave for work, there’s no need to worry about anything, as one touch of the touchscreen arms the security alarm. As soon as this is armed, the lights begin to turn off together with the heating/air conditioning, appliances and the audio system and television. Blinds and shutters also close immediately, or if you are not home by dusk, they will then close and lights will operate to make the house appear occupied. When away from your home, you can control its functions via the internet and even view what is going on via your CCTV system.
In the afternoon, the heating/air conditioning is turned on so you come home to your preferred temperature and, as you pull into the driveway, the path and garage lights turn on. Appliances can be controlled remotely on approach via your mobile phone and you can even pour yourself a bath.
The keyless entry pad unlocks the door, disarms the security, and triggers a welcome home pathway of lighting, which will conveniently turn off again a few minutes later.
No more worrying about the garden, as the moisture sensors ensure the right amount of watering at the right time to allow for any water restrictions.
In the evening, the family settles down to watch the home theatre system and as the movie starts, the lights adjust and slowly dim, just like in the big theatres! Throughout the home, the movie can show on a combination of TV's in the home at the same time, as can the security cameras.
Later, as you settle down in bed, you press a button and the rest of the house shuts down. You have the choice to listen to piped music or watch Pay TV on your bedroom TV. You can even change channels or control the DVD, even though they're in another room.
A late night trip to the bathroom is no longer a hassle, as the lighting automatically turns on a dim path to the bathroom.
